{here we go} | austin--->ALT

I leave for ALT Design Summit tomorrow!! I can't tell you how excited I am to attend this year. I was super bummed last year that I couldn't make it. My kids were just too little. Now, a year later (where does the time go?), here I am packing my bags. Yippee!! I can't wait to share with you everything I learn. 

I'm in LOVE with my new letterpress business cards! Thanks again Sarah! She designed and printed them just in time for ALT. She's amazing!

{altitude design summit} | I'll be there!!

How's everyone's resolution's coming along? I'll be kicking off my year at Alt Design Summit, a blogging convention in Salt Lake City. Trying to expand my curiosities! Happy Birthday to me! :)

I've got new business cards being made by Sarah over at Studio SloMo for the conference!! Can't wait to see how they turn out. Will share soon. I'm also looking forward to handing them out to my new potential client's here in Austin!   

After Alt, I will be heading over to Sarah's place for some design, home decor tips. Can't wait to get started Sarah!! If anyone is looking for letterpress design, she's your gal! She's an amazing designer, but also a sweet, sweet girl, and a native Austinite! Speaking of Austinites, are any of you attending ALT? If so, let's get together!

Another blog feature from Barn Light Electric! These peeps are rocking it! ;) Notice my photo is now part of their gallery image. Yippee!! I was first featured in November for another SF project. Very kind words from BLE. Thanks guys!! I love their lights. I will definitely be using the in our home renovation this year!

How is everyone? It's been pretty busy here in Austin. I had a few contractual gigs for a few design firms before the holidays, attended some fun company parties, and also prepared for our "Texas Tour" over Christmas, which included shipping presents to 3 different locations. Santa Claus was busy in Texas! :)

Also in the works, a new part-time job! (More on this later!!). It will be good to have some steady income coming in for our own renovation coming up this year. Speaking of the renovation, I'll be blogging about that more frequently. I want to hear from everyone on my ideas!! Can't WAIT to get started. 

Currently applying for preschool waitlists...ugh. Didn't I do this already in SF? Yup...and I actually started getting calls for A & E's acceptance, but we left. Wah, wah. So...starting over, and preschools here are pretty similar to SF, in terms of waitlist. Oh well, maybe some luck will be sent our way!

Happy New Year!! Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful, full-of-new-curiosities new year! I'm fascinated with my kids curiosities these days. My goal for 2012 is to continue being curious. What's your goal for the new year?!

Thanks to all of those who made my 2011 so memorable and who continue to keep me inspired! Looking forward to making new friends and staying in touch with old friends this year. We miss you SF, but we are glad to be close to friends and family. Can't wait to see what Austin has in store for us this year!
